The most portable
and powerful
hearing testing system

The wireless WAHTS headset and tablet-based app can test in noisier environments that any other system. A built-in FDA-registered audiometer and passive attenuation allows the system to be used to accurately test hearing in environments with ambient noise, enabling flexible untethered testing.
Each system contains:
• Wireless Headset
• Tablet with Software
• Calibration Stand
• Charging Cables
• Quick Start Guide

WAHTS
wireless headset

Sound attenuation received with the WAHTS headset’s noise attenuating ear cups and foam is on par with a single-walled sound booth. WAHTS’ integrated wireless audiometer circuit, speaker, and microphone, meets the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and International Electrotechnical Commissions (IEC) specifications for audiometers, and conforms to the description of audiometric measuring instruments described in Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA’s) occupational noise exposure standard.

WAHTS
easy & flexible app

The WAHTS app allows an administrator to monitor up to seven individuals as they simultaneously take an automated and self-paced hearing test. Status and results are communicated to the administrator't tablet over a peer-to-peer wireless connection enabling testing and immediate review to be performed without an internet connection. When an internet connection becomes available, results may be transferred from the administrator's tablet to standard health record databases.

Quick Set-Up & Calibration Check
The app provides a guided walk-through to set-up group testing. The daily calibration check results may be verified on the admin screen before testing begins.
Connect & Test
Each WAHTS headset connects via bluetooth to the tablet-based app. Administer automated, self-paced hearing tests and hearing protection fit tests or switch to manual mode for more control.
Efficient & Accurate
Admin app continuously monitors up to seven test tablets at a time. Ability to test frequencies ranging from 500 to 8000 Hz. WAHTS test results provide an audiogram with baseline data for easy identification of threshold shifts.
Download Results
OSHA formatted results are available to download to your database or export as pdfs for individual records.

MPANLs
WAHTS is an FDA-registered audiometer and meets current OSHA 1910.95, ANSI S3.6, and IEC 60645-1 standards. The WAHTS maximum permissible ambient noise levels (MPANLS) outperform other transducers at 250, 500, and 1000 Hz, making WAHTS ideal for boothless audiometry, where ambient noise is a concern. See Figure 1 below for WAHTS MPANL values.
FIGURE 1: WAHTS MPANLs ARE COMPUTED BY ADDING ANSI S3.1-1999 (R2018) EARS UNCOVERED VALUES AND WAHTS ATTENUATION.

The passive attenuation of WAHTS allows the system to be used accurately to test hearing in environments with ambient noise. Figure 1 shows the maximum permissible ambient noise levels (MPANLs) calculated for WAHTS in accordance with ANSI S3.1-1999 (R2018). Adjusted MPANLs are calculated by adding the passive attenuation of the transducer to the ears uncovered ANSI S3.1 values.

The passive attenuation of WAHTS headset results in greater MPANLs in the low frequencies (Figure 1 and the dark blue bars in Figure 2). Greater MPANLs mean that audiometric testing can be completed with high amounts of ambient room noise. Ambient room noise tends to be low frequency in energy1 and can interfere with testing and result in false low frequency hearing loss.
