Audiometric
Testing

Audiometric testing, or hearing assessment, measures an individual’s ability to hear sounds across different frequencies, evaluates hearing thresholds, and identifies the type and severity of hearing loss. This testing serves multiple purposes, such as monitoring employee hearing, assessing hearing loss, and educating workers on hearing health.

In the U.S., over 22 million workers face dangerous noise levels daily, making hearing protection and regular screenings federally mandated. Traditional solutions can be costly in lost productivity and inefficient processes. With hearing loss expected to affect over 50 million Americans by 2030, the health impacts—including increased risk of falls, dementia, and rising care costs—are significant. Using WAHTS for audiometric testing and education helps employers effectively address their employees' hearing needs and ensure compliance with health standards.

Monitoring Employee Hearing
The WAHTS can be used to monitor employees’ hearing over time and protect them from hearing loss caused by loud noises.
Meeting Requirements
The WAHTS will help you meet OSHA requirements by regularly monitoring employees' hearing. Testing is easier than every by removing the need of a soundproof booth.
Educating Employees
Audiometric testing with the WAHTS can also provide an opportunity for employers to educate employees about their hearing and how to protect it.

How It Works:
Hearing Testing with WAHTS

During the WAHTS audiometric test, sounds are delivered through headphones to each ear individually, with ambient noise blocked for optimal accuracy. Patients respond by tapping a button on the tablet provided with the headset whenever they hear a tone. The test calculates the quietest sounds the patient can detect at each frequency, known as their hearing threshold. Results are displayed visually in an audiogram, showing the softest sounds heard at each frequency for easy interpretation.
